An understory is the transformative, yet underrepresented narrative fighting for belonging and light. All of us have under-stories within us.
In this podcast we follow storytelling activist Mohsin Mohi Ud Din as he travels the world, exploring the understory of refugees from Syria, and migrants in Central America as they navigate major life moments in impossible circumstances. We will also meet with neuroscientists and indigenous medicine men who are using storytelling and creative expression as tools to advance mental health and resilience. Mohsin will also bring us into the world of activists working with underrepresented communities to reclaim space to be heard, seen, and valued.
In bearing witness to how each person is fighting to reclaim the narrative of their life and community, together we learn ways in which resistance, resilience and love can thrive, despite living in the most broken and neglected regions of the world.
